We love innovations here at Gadgec, and innovations are something that keeps us going. Technology makes our lives easier, and simpler, and wireless charging of your mobile phone is really something you could be looking after, in the coming years. While a lot of tech companies are working on a concept of wireless charging, or induction charging as we love to call it, one of the Apple fanatic hacked his iPhone 4S and modified it by adding a jacket to it, that helps in wireless charging of the iPhone!

While the Cupertino based giant- Apple has been working on wireless charging for years, our friend Tanveer Islam succeeded in manipulating his iPhone 4S, to get power from a charging pad, all wireless! May be he couldn’t actually wait for Apple to release this service in the coming years, but whatever it is, Tanveer claims that this hack has been able to charge his iPhone flawlessly using a simple power-mat. However, please not that he did manipulate the powermat and his iPhone 4S and requires heavy soldering and dissection of the device, so please don’t try this at home.

The results have been promising, says Tanveer. It only adds a millimeter to the iPhone’s dimensions, which is due to the jacket which has been placed along with his iPhone 4S.

“There are wireless charging options out there such as the powermat system but they all involve slipping on a jacket around the iPhone. I wanted to internalize the technology so that the beauty of the iPhone not hidden away!”

Recently, we have also heard rumors of Apple employing a new-narrow charging port to its upcoming iPhone 5. While Apple engineers are working day and night to simplify our lives, we hope that induction or wireless charging comes to iPhone really soon.
