It’s been a while since I started blogging, almost 4 good years to it. While I am aware of every corner of the wide web now, there are still some unpredictable trends which internet, and web traffic to be specific follows. In case you are a webmaster, a blogger or a web developer, you would have seen those low traffic days across your work lines some or the other time. To be specific, they are just not so web-friendly days like weekends, public holidays or festival season when people don’t usually make use of web much, and indulge in other activities instead. Almost all websites across the web encounter a traffic dip on weekends, leaving behind some specific niche which people like to go through on weekends. Those unproductive days are actually the best for you to move on a progressive track. Here’s a list of things to do on low-traffic weekends.

What To Do On A Low Traffic Weekend?

  • STAY OFFLINE, TAKE A DAY OUT!

You know you’ll be working the very next day. Why not take a day off instead? Well, vacation or holiday is not exactly something which will benefit your blog or website directly, but definitely it will give you the positive vibrations to move on and keep working hard. In case you are a content writer, it’s the best time to think of creative ideas and topics to cover on your blog. And all that it takes is a closed lid laptop left at home, with you on a holiday far away. Cheers!

  • KEEP EXPERIMENTING, IT WORKS!

That’s what I like to do, and experimenting is what led to the invention of Timeline feature we introduced on Gadgec. I specifically keep the weekends for changing the design and layout of my blogs. Apart from design, you can consider making SEO related changes to old content on your blog, so that your blog remains algorithm-friendly. (Google Penguin, Panda..blah blah!)

  • LAZY ENOUGH? JUST READ!

Alright, there are days when you just don’t want to do anything and sit back and relax. Reading stuff related to your work is best you can do at such instances. Read other blogs, material, SEO books and anything or everything that interests you.

  • AT LAST, DREAM BIGGER, DREAM BETTER!

Now for those who just want to take a day off and sleep, here’s the most productive work for you. Dream bigger, dream better! That’s right. You can’t achieve something if you don’t dream it. No matter how big it is, how tough it is, just dream. Dreams are your platform to reality. Step on it! :D
