September is around the corner, and so is Apple iPhone 5’s expected launch in September. While Apple is still quiet about any major announcements anytime soon, we are now more than sure that the iPhone 5 is coming, that too in the next few weeks. For the time being, we have had our hands on a number of leaked parts of upcoming iPhone 5, and the iPad Mini which is expected to be launched along with the iPhone 5.
Some things we know about iPhone 5 are that it will sport a 4-inch screen, 16:9 aspect ratio, Nano-SIM technology, and most importantly a smaller charging port. i.e, Apple has finally decided to get rid of 30-pin legacy charging port. The images have been released by iResQ and confirm the existence of 8-pin charging port on Apple iPhone 5. Here are the leaked images of iPhone 5 and iPad Mini’s charging dock.
You can see the 8-pin charging dock clearly in the images above. With 8-pins, and the metal plate probably acting as the 9th-pin, this dock would mean a revolution in the field of upcoming Apple iPhone 5 and other future devices from Apple.
Also, the headphone jack seems to be bundled along with the charging dock. This is another major change in the design, and is probably based on customer surveys and reviews. Here’s a closeup view:
