So WWDC 2012 brought to us iOS 6, which is claimed to be the smartest operating system for mobile devices ever, as per Apple. Well, we will have to wait for a couple of weeks before Apple unveiled final and full installation of its iOS 6, and only then can we comment more on it now. One of the most hyped feature of iOS 6 is the Facebook integration which is now being made possible for the first time on Apple’s iOS devices with iOS 6. Other features are iOS 6 Twitter widget which lets you send out a Tweet directly from the notification center. The notification center has been made a lot cooler now, with Facebook and Twitter buttons at top. Which means you can very well update your Facebook status directly from your iOS notification center, as reported by our sources.
iOS 6 Twitter Widget On iOS 5:
Talking about iOS 6 Twitter widget, you can very well have it on your iOS 5 now. This is for all those who can not really wait for Apple to release the final and complete iOS 6 for general iDevice users, and of course, for those who own a jailbroken iDevice. The jailbreak community has been recently busy working on replicating and bringing some of the native iOS 6 features on existing iOS 5. The tweak that goes by the name of iOS 6 Twitter Widget is now available in the BigBoss repo under Cydia store for free.
Once installed, you can configure the tweak from the Notification section under your iDevice settings. I have personally tested with tweak on my iPhone, and it comes out to be flawless. No bugs, errors or crashes. This was made possible using hooks that were already present on iOS 5 for Twitter integration, remember that iOS 5 comes with native Twitter support, so bringing this tweak out was no problem.
iOS 6 Twitter Widget- Roundup:
However, Facebook integration in iOS 6 is the first to be seen on Apple’s iDevices, so it might take up a little more than expected time before a working tweak comes out for iOS 5.
The iOS 6 Twitter Widget turns out to be the one you should use if you are one of Twitter-crazy persons. Let us know your views via the comments section below. For more, keep subscribed!
