The day started with a good news coming directly from folks at Evasi0n.com, the famous jailbreak team which is going to release the iOS 6, and probably iPhone 5 jailbreak any time now. We have been waiting patiently to hear from them for over a month now, since they first gave us slight hints of the iOS 6 jailbreak, and here we are, with an update from the Evasi0n team, regarding iOS 6 jailbreak which will be here, any moment! The news coming right from Evasi0n’s official website here claims that a pretty imminent iOS 6 jailbreak is coming any time! Here’s more, right after the jump below!
iOS 6 Jailbreak Coming Any Time Now- Team Evad3rs
Developed by a group of iOS hackers, Evad3rs, the Evasi0n jailbreak was earlier scheduled to be released today, i.e February 3 ‘2013, however we can see updates on their official websites hinting particularly towards the jailbreak for iOS 6 which can be expected to be released any time now.
They have updated their website, with a Read me section, and a 85% completion status on Mac and Windows platform. Currently they are testing the jailbreak on other platforms. While many Cydia packages have already been updated this morning, we are pretty sure that a successful iOS 6 jailbreak, or better call the much needed iPhone 5 jailbreak will be coming soon.
The Read me section on the website has been updated with the following content:
- Backup your iOS device using iTunes or iCloud before using evasi0n. This way you are sure to never lose any data if something wrong happens.
- Please disable the lock passcode of your iOS device before using evasi0n. It can cause issues.
- Be patient while the jailbreaking process is running, don’t start iTunes or Xcode in the meanwhile. The best is to not touch the computer until the end of the jailbreaking process.
The instructions are pretty basic, which we need to follow while jailbreaking any iDevice, however we recommend you to go through them once. To downgrade anytime in future, we recommend you to save your SHSH blobs using iFaith or Tiny Umbrella so that you have a second option in hand, in case something goes wrong with the jailbreak or update!
