It hasn’t been long enough when Samsung added a new member to its Galaxy series family. It was something more than a smartphone, but  smaller than a usual tablet. It was the Samsung Galaxy Note , a phablet as we love to call it with a 5.3-inch screen, and super powerful processor. It’s July ‘2012 now, and here we are announcing the release date of Samsung Galaxy Note 2, which would be slightly bigger, and better at the same time.

The news comes directly from our friends at BGR who claim to have received a direct tip from their sources close to Samsung. August 15 ‘2012 is the date Samsung announced for a press event recently , and now we have confirmed news that the press event will showcase Samsung Galaxy Note 2. A slightly more than portable device, will make use of Stylus pen to enhance creativity for users who love a bigger display.

Galaxy Note 2, as the name suggests will be the second installment of Galaxy Note line of smartphones which can be seen sporting a slightly bigger display (5.5-inch) than the actual Galaxy Note (5.3-inch). The device is also being said to have undergone some changes when it comes to body and design. Though, the screen resolution despite of a bigger display has gone down slightly , from 1,280 x 800 pixels to 1,280 x 720 pixels. As seen in Samsung Galaxy S3, analysts are expecting a powerful processor along with plenty of RAM to support multi-tasking and gaming experience on Galaxy Note 2.

Well, just to remind you, Google recently released the Nexus 7 in the market. Galaxy Note 2 gives head-to-head competition to the Nexus 7 when it comes to utility and performance. However, if you are a Galaxy Note lover, we are sure that Galaxy Note 2 is the right thing for you to go for, after getting your hands on the actual Samsung Galaxy Note.

So who all are ready to buy it?
