We love the social network giant for making things easier for us, here at Gadgec. With social media presence now a big factor deciding websites ranking throughout the search engines, Facebook’s recommendations bar is the thing you need to take your blog or websites a step ahead. This is actually not something totally new we have encountered, since this recommendation bar was already active for some major websites in the past few months. It is now when Facebook has decided to bring it to the general public, and you can get it right now from Facebook Developers!
The Facebook Recommendation bar would serve the purpose of bringing related posts to your visitors by taking into consideration the present URL. Well, so far the plugins performance has been fairly good considering the exact category matches it has been able to find using keywords. The plugin hides itself in a tiny bar on the bottom right side of the screen when in-active, giving users the ability to like that page or particular post on Facebook. When you click on the bar, it expands into a sidebar which displays most relevant posts and pages for you.
Facebook has been putting efforts to integrate open graph deep into websites. This has been its step ahead and there is more to come in the future. After it’s first public earnings call, Facebook is all set to unveil this Recommendations Bar plugin to the public after meeting quality standards in its beta release. The Recommendations bar was to include a social reader as well earlier, but Facebook seems to have pulled it off the plugin now!
Facebook’s Recommended Bar plugin is a +1 from us, and we are surely going to try it here on Gadgec. Let us know your views via the comments section below. For more, keep subscribed!
