How To Turn On Facebook Photo Sync On Your iOS Device

The best part is yet to be known. You don’t actually need an app update to start using Photo Sync functionality on Facebook. That’s right. The feature is set up as an inbuilt function for the Facebook app for iOS 6, though Facebook has authorized it today itself.  The last Facebook app update for iOS brought in much improved photo sharing options which came handy with the app. Now you can edit your photos from within the app just a step before hitting the upload button. After becoming the world leader in social media niche, seems like Facebook is all set to conquer photo sharing services, and with Photo Sync for iOS 6, things just moved a step ahead. So what does Photo Sync actually does? As the name suggests, Photo Sync automatically takes up photographs from your iOS device camera roll (excluding iPad! Yeah, no iPad support) and adds it to your Facebook account. Of course your albums remain private unless you change them to public or customize it later. Now how to activate it for your iOS 6 powered device?

In case you come across a screen like the one shown below, you simply need to hit the Get Started button and it should take you to a screen where you can sync photos between Facebook and your device with a simple click.

In case you don’t see the above screen, just follow the simple tutorial explained below!

  • Go to your Profile, and click on Photos.
  • At the bottom of the page, you will find three tabs namely “Photos of you”, “Albums”, and “Synced”. Tap on the “Synced” button and wait for page to load.
