So here is how you can download Facebook videos on Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
# Mozilla Firefox Users
We love Mozilla Firefox for the realistic response it gives to scripts and extensions, and that is apparently what we are going to use for downloading Facebook videos easily. The best one we found working is Video Download Helper, an easy to use Firefox extension that not only lets you download Facebook videos easily, but also helps you with downloading any other video streaming over the web. Download Helper is an add-on for Firefox and can be installed directly from here from the official Firefox add-on repository.
Once you download and install Video Download Helper extension on your browser, you will see a shortcut icon placed in the status bar of the browser. While streaming a video, just click on that icon and you will see a list of videos that can be downloaded.
Greasemonkey Scripts are alternative methods for downloading Facebook videos directly to your computer. Facebook Video Downloader which is an excellent Greasemonkey Script and is all you need to download Facebook videos instantly. This involves a two-step process. First you need to install the Greasemonkey extension on your Firefox browser, and then install Facebook Video Downloader script to it. The script adds a download link to each video on Facebook.
# Google Chrome Users
If you are a Google Chrome user, fortunately there’s not much you need to do in order to download Facebook videos. Google Chrome supports direct installation of scripts, so you don’t need the Greasemonkey add-on for user-scripts to work. This means you can directly install the Facebook Video Downloader script mentioned above!
Another way of downloading Facebook videos is Google Chrome Cache Viewer which displays everything including videos, media, URL’s, etc. cached on a webpage which can be further downloaded to local storage drive of your computer.
Google Chrome Cache Viewer is available for Windows Operating System here. Please note that you first need to play the video in order for this program to cache it.
