Cydia is overflowing with tweaks and third party applications which will blow your mind away. Recently I compiled a list of lockscreen transition apps from Cydia which will change the way you lock and unlock your iDevice including iPhone 3GS, 4,4S, iPad,iPad2,New iPad and iPod Touch 4G, to be clear. The hub of all third party applications, Cydia has something new for us everyday and we are loving it totally. But wait, what about those of you who haven’t jailbroken your iDevices, due to your reasons of course. In this post I will provide you with apps which will help you record screen of your iDevice in realtime, and convert it into a video which can be further uploaded to YouTube!, Facebook or emailed to your desired email address.
Record Screen On Your iPhone:
Jailbroken iPhones and other iDevices:
If you are one of those who love to experiment all third party stuff on your iDevice, and have jailbroken your iDevice for obvious reasons, we have an app for you called DisplayRecorder which will help you record the screen of your device by assigning simple shortcuts for activation of the app. i.e, you can ask your device to record the screen when you press volume up or down key.
That is not all. You can further configure the settings to set the quality of that video, and link your YouTube account with the app as well so that you can actually upload it directly from your iDevice. Cool enough?
We are highly impressed with the functionality of this app and the video quality remains optimum. The app is available under the BigBoss repo for $4.99, and is worth the money!
Non-Jailbroken iPhones And Other iDevices:
Okay, so if you don’t like the hacked up stuff and like to keep your iDevice clean with legitimate and allowed stuff, we have an app from the app store which performs the similar function as that of DisplayRecorder. The app named Display Recorder (Yea! the same name) lets you easily capture your screen activity , and comes at a cost of $1.99 in the iTunes App Store. Developed by Bugun Software, we assume that this app got through the Apple App Store cencors by some mistake or something like that. So take them up before Apple shuts it down, just saying!
Here is a video explaining the same:
