When it comes to mobile devices there are no bigger names than Android and Apple’s iOS mobile platform. With these two accounting for over 60% of all mobile devices in the world today, it’s easy to see why they have become names synonymous with technology and why they are trusted beyond all others to deliver the best in the world. Apple with its latest iPhone 5, and a brilliant iOS 6 powering it boasts of an app store with over 600,000+ apps, and at the same time we have Android Jelly Bean 4.1 update, ready to conquer the plethora of Android devices.

When it comes to gaming, the consumers are sometimes a little more choosy. It’s all well and good talking about capability, but for the hardcore gaming crowd this information does no good. What a gamer wants to know is which is best for graphics, which one wins in terms of games available and who is the best when it comes to being able to play whenever they want, wherever they are. The capabilities of these devices have been fully taken on board by many gaming niches, not least by online casinos; Lucky Nugget online slots, with a huge range of both PC and mobile games is a perfect example of this.

Apple have been making mobile devices for longer than Android has been around so it seems like they would be the best choice, but when it comes to compatibility, there are a few issues that make it a little less of a competitive choice. Flash, the most popular way to create content for the internet, is not compatible with Apple products at all. They have commonly cited a few reasons for this decision, the main one being that Flash can be manipulated in such a way as to make the system vulnerable to exploitation by hackers or other deviant elements of society. This should not really make a difference to those who just want to enjoy their favorite online gaming sites, but for the majority of people it has made a big difference and meant that Android have won a fair number of people over to their cause without even lifting a finger.
